A free, covid-19 mobile testing site will be located in Monroeville on Thursday.

California-based Curative will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 21 at Monroeville Fire Station #4, 4370 Northern Pike.

Tests screening for the virus will be available for free. Walk-ins are welcome but online registration is encouraged. Prescriptions and referrals are not needed in order to get tested.

Results, according to Curative’s website, will be available within 48 hours in an online account that is set up upon registration.

The tests will be self-administered. Those being tested will swab the inside of their own mouths after coughing three to five times.

Insurance is not required but Curative encourages participants to bring insurance cards if available. Insurance companies will be billed under this circumstance.

The Allegheny County Health Department began working with Curative in May. For more information, and to see additional testing sites, visit the county’s website.
