Hundreds of Duquesne Light customers in eastern suburbs are without power early Monday, according to the utility company.

There are 420 customers in Monroeville and 378 in Turtle Creek that are affected.

Communications Associate Manager Ashley Macik said the outage was caused by a vehicle striking a utility pole earlier in the morning.

“Our crews have been working quickly to restore service,” Macik said.

About 4,000 customers were originally impacted, she said.

Service is expected to be restored to all by early afternoon.
