Building condemned, driver flees after stolen vehicle drives into East Allegheny home

A house in East Allegheny was condemned after being struck by a stolen vehicle Sunday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Police, Fire and emergency medical services responded to the report around 2 p.m. The driver and occupants fled in an unknown direction, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

The vehicle was towed away from the scene, and information came back that it had been reported stolen. An investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections was called to inspect the integrity of the house, which was found condemned. The Red Cross was also notified to assist the residents, who were not injured.
