Upcoming programs include:

Take-Home Crafts

Patrons of all ages can create and enjoy a simple weekly take-home craft with the library. This program will begin its fall session the week of Aug. 31. Call the library or register online to reserve a weekly supply kit that can be picked up and enjoyed at home. Because the program is a weekly take-home program for kids of all ages, registration is required to account for supplies.

The Weekly Project

The Weekly Project is a program featuring a variety of activities that can be enjoyed from home, including cooking, crafting, art and STEM. Every week will showcase a different project for children to do with their families, and some weeks will include take-home materials. The program will begin its fall session the week of Aug. 31. Because the program is a weekly take-home program for kids of all ages, registration is required to account for supplies.

Virtual storytimes

Toddler Story Time and Preschool Story Time begin Tuesdays starting Sept. 1 and Thursdays starting Sept. 3, respectively. The programs are virtual and will be uploaded to the website each week. They will also be available to watch on the library’s Facebook page.

Fresh Air Story Time

Families are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair and meet on the library’s lawn 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday, weather permitting, beginning Sept. 2. Masks are required for adults. Families are requested to register so that the library can ensure social distancing can be observed in the space.

Take-Home Maker Mondays

Pine Center Maker Mondays are going virtual. While patrons can’t visit in person at the Pine Center, Maker Mondays will continue in a new format. Every Monday, a tutorial video will be shared on the library’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. A weekly supply kit will be available to reserve and pick up for some great Maker fun at home.

Sept. 14: Weaving. Use yarn and cardboard to create a small woven piece of art.

Sept. 21: Magnet Art. Design your own mini magnet.

Sept. 28: Braided Keychains. Use braiding and knotting techniques to create keychain fobs.
