The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 492 new coronavirus cases and eight new deaths.
That brings the statewide total to 85,988 cases and 6,614 deaths.
The state considers 2,414 patients as probable cases, but they are not confirmed.
More than half of coronavirus cases in the state are in patients ages 50 or older, with the most severe cases in patients over the age of 65, according to the Department of Health.
Nursing and personal care homes account for 17,697 cases, with 3,224 cases among employees, for a total of 20,921 cases at 689 facilities across 52 counties. Out of the total deaths, 4,531 have occurred in residents at nursing or personal care facilities.
Health care workers account for 6,508 coronavirus cases.
About 666,901 patients have tested negative for covid-19.
All of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties have had confirmed cases and all are now in either the yellow or green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-tiered reopening plan.
