A Vandergrift man accused of throwing a bottle of water at police during a June 1 protest in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood has been arrested.

Investigators with the Damage Assessment and Accountability Task Force, with assistance from Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office and the Vandergrift Police Department, arrested Benjamin Reynolds, 28, on Friday.

Pittsburgh police charged him with aggravated assault, riot, propulsion of missiles, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and obstruction of highways or other public passages.

Online court documents indicate Reynolds was released on his own recognizance.
