Norbert Personal Care Home residents June 12 got the chance to see their families in person for the first time since March 12 because the covid-19 pandemic.

The socially-distant get-together was held in the driveway and parking lot of the Carrick facility and kicked off with a parade of vehicles carrying family members who honked and waved to their loved ones as they passed through. After the parade, families were invited to visit with the residents as long as they wore masks and remained six feet apart.

Before Friday, residents and their families only could communicate through phone calls and virtual visits.
