Once it was established that no one was injured Monday when a Port Authority bus fell partially into a sinkhole in downtown Pittsburgh during the morning commute, the jokes and memes started rolling in on social media.

At least one local business, Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream, decided to take advantage of the situation, whipping up a “Sinkhole Sundae” at its locations in Market Square and Shadyside.

In addition, to help brighten a real bummer of a day for Port Authority workers, a post on Millie’s Facebook page offers a free “Sinkhole Sundae” to workers who show their Port Authority IDs.

Someone else had, well, a different idea to generate some cash.

A big Keanu Reeves fan thought the Port Authority might be trying to recreate the bus jump from the 1994 action film “Speed,” which defies all known laws of physics.

Another film fan thought it might be a re-creation of the Heinz Field scene from “The Dark Knight Rises.”

If you have a tinfoil hat handy, here’s a conspiracy theory about the sinkhole having awfully straight edges.

If you thought we were going to get through this without a Mayor Bill Peduto Photoshop job, you were wrong.

Here’s a unique (and fictitious) spin on the situation from a Twitter feed that calls itself “Fake KDKA News.”

And for those of us who grew up on video games …
