An elderly man was reportedly followed from a bank in Homestead and robbed inside his North Braddock home.

The victim spoke with news partners WPXI about the incident Wednesday.

“I’m an older person. I just had knee surgery, and I just felt helpless,” the man said.

The victim told WPXI someone knocked on his front door asking for help as a result of car trouble. When he went to get his car keys, the man went into the home and made off with a bag of money and personal items.

He said he was robbed of $2,000.

A description of the suspect was unavailable.

A call to North Braddock police was not immediately returned.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Homestead police at 412-461-1340 or North Braddock police at 412-351-4900.
