One person was transported to a local hospital in connection with a crash Monday along the Parkway East near mile marker 76.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes toward Monroeville about 3:50 p.m. Traffic was backed up near the Squirrel Hill tunnels. It is unclear what may have caused the crash.

The crash was cleared by Monday evening.
