I guess we now know why Antonio Brown was checking his bank account during those Oakland Raiders film sessions.
He must’ve been looking for $40,000.
And apparently, he couldn’t find it.
According to ESPN.com, the former Steeler is accused of stiffing a personal chef at the 2018 Pro Bowl.
Jeremy Fowler writes: “Stefano Tedeschi — who goes by the name ‘The Sports Chef’ — filed suit in Osceola (Florida) County on July 30, claiming that Brown’s balance of $38,521.20 remains unpaid.”
ESPN interviewed the “Sports Chef” on Wednesday.
As the story goes, Brown rented a house near Orlando and hired Tedeschi to cook for a few days for up to 50 Pro Bowl teammates and guests, Tedeschi told ESPN.
He alleges that Brown refused to pay him, thus forcing Tedeschi to pay his staff out of pocket. And the chef claims Brown kept Tedeschi’s equipment and food at the house.
Tedeschi also tells Fowler that Brown — who demanded Tedeschi never make eye contact with him — later offered to pay Tedeschi, but only via social media advertising.
Tedeschi said he didn’t accept.
Brown’s attorney told ESPN that they “expect to be filing a motion to dismiss the complaint.”
Maybe this is the reason behind some of these tweets from Brown.
