DUI, drug cases among those recently handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court – Jun. 10, 2019

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

  • Willie Newkirk, 62, of Pittsburgh on charges of resisting arrest. Charges were filed May 4.
  • Chillissia Chiavetta, 24, of White Oak on charges of receiving stolen property and driving under the influence. Charges were filed May 29.

Waived preliminary hearings

  • David Procacina, 67, of East Pittsburgh on charges of simple assault and resisting arrest. Wilkins police filed the charges May 13.
  • Melissa Ryan, 37, of Irwin on charges of possession of controlled substances and to counts of drug paraphernalia. Wilkins police filed the charges May 30.
