Ulysees Gilbert, the No. 207 overall pick of the NFL Draft, became the third sixth-round draft pick to sign his four-year rookie contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With the signing Thursday of Gilbert and fifth-round Zach Gentry, the Steelers have signed seven of their nine draft choices. Remaining unsigned are first-rounder Devin Bush and third-rounder Justin Layne.

Gilbert, a 6-foot, 230-pound linebacker, had 38 starts in 51 games at Akron. He had 359 tackles in his four-year career, including 9.5 sacks and 28.5 tackle for loss.

The Steelers will hold their annual rookie minicamp Friday through Sunday at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side.
