DiAnoia’s Eatery, Pittsburgh’s Strip District Italian eatery and all-day café, is now offering Pizzeria Davide, a to-go pizza window in back of the restaurant at 2551 Penn Ave.

The pizzeria specializes in old world-style pizzas, layered with provolone cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Three signature pizza varieties — Old World, marinara and margarita — along with special pies like Cacio e Pepe, prosciutto and hot soppressata, will be available in 12- or 20-inch sizes.

Cheese and pepperoni pizza will be offered by the slice.

All pizzas will be made from an artisanal flour sourced from Molino Pasini flour company in Northern Italy, shaped into a thin-crust pie and cooked in a gas-burning pizza oven, according to Pizzeria Davide.

The menu also includes salads and appetizers.

“We decided to open a pizza window after continuous customer demand for to-go pizza orders,” says Dave Anoia, head chef and co-owner of DiAnoia’s Eatery and Pizzeria Davide.

“Pizza is a top-selling menu item at DiAnoia’s Eatery and we wanted to be able to offer it for takeout during all hours of operation,” he adds.

Customers can order take-out in person or by phone from the pizza window, or through the online delivery app, GrubHub.
